Our Layout....

.....is mostly in an urban setting, so we have building flats covering all of the walls and lots of industrial buildings around the layout - plus a few retail establishments and urban community would have.

We also have a large coal mine complex; a round house and turn table.

On these pages we want to show the communities we have built; the building flats we have assembled, mostly from building kits and assorted parts; and the structures that populate the layout.

Our train station complex was built from 8 Walt Disney World Train Station kits. The kits are advertised as HO, but they are O. We need to get these Disney guys a ruler.

Ms. Eclair constructed and detailed these seven "painted ladies" from the Lionel Victorian kits. These are really old kits and it took a significant effort to assemble them - plus get paint to cover the hideous plastic colors Lionel used. She did a terrific job!

Donna "Don't-know-her-last-name" would come to York; take a small table in the Orange Hall, and sell her creations. I bought several over the years, and here are two - her beer garden and her motorcycle shop. Her pieces are always well detailed, come lite and with lots of people - she always sold out. I haven't seen her for a few Yorks, so I hope she is well and prospering with her art. Thanks Donna!
